Nothing to do this Friday night? Come and enjoy the food and fun while supporting our local music students at the Coroando Band & Choir Boosters annual Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction on Friday March 4, 2011 from 5-8 pm. The dinner will be held in Granzer Hall at the Coronado Middle School (CMS), 550 F Avenue. The Coroando Middle School and Coroando High School Bands and Choirs will be providing muscial entertainment for the event. Village Pizzeria is generously supporting our event by providing spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and Mootime ice cream. There will be many auction items from many of our local businesses including a bicycle from Holland’s Bikes; a guitar donated by Harper’s Music Store; a 2-hour party by Game Truck Party; a signed Andy Mac Donald skateboard and tee-shirt; a suprise board from Emerald City; fine art by local San Diego artists; salon gift baskets from Salon De Ville, Bliss, and Roses The Salon; and gift certificates from many local Coronado and San Diego businesses. Also our esteemed Mayor Casey Tanaka will host one lucky individual for lunch in Coronado! All proceeds from this event will go to support the music programs at Coronado Middle and High Schools. Adult tickets are $12 and student/child tickets are $5. Tickets are availabe from and CMS and CHS band or choir student or at the door on Friday night.
The CMS and CHS band and choirs will perfomr thorughout the evening. This year the music studetns have already performed at several events including football games, the holiday concert, the Coronado Christmas Parade, Artisans’ Alley, and some of the high school choir members have been traveling to nursing homes to offer entertainment. Funds are being raised to send our students to the Southern California band and choir competition at Disneyland; for a new sousaphone and drums for the pep band; sheet music for all the programs, and overall support of the music program in the district.
Coronado Band & Choir Boosters is devoted to providing a strong music program to the students in the school district. Please come out to support our students and enjoy a low-cal tasty dinner on Friday night!
