Due to the countywide fire and heat emergency conditions, all schools and programs in the Coronado Unified School District will be closed Thursday, May 15th.
- All CIF sport activities are also canceled.
- All high school AP Exams scheduled for May 15th will be rescheduled for a future date. Information will be provided to students who have rescheduled AP Exams.
We are monitoring the situation on an hourly basis and a decision for Friday will be made Thursday afternoon. People are encouraged to stay in their homes and reduce traffic on the roadways, especially to the northern portion of our county. Residents are urged to call 2-1-1 for all non-emergency calls and visit http://www.sdcountyemergencycom for updates online.

UPDATE: To accommodate the needs of working parents, the City of Coronado will offer a free Day Camp at the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The School District is closing due to countywide fire and heat emergency conditions. Day Camp is for CUSD students only.
Parents are directed to call (619) 522-7342 after 6 a.m. tomorrow, May 15, to register.
