Primavera’s owners, Denise and Jeannette Stavros, welcomed Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey; Coronado City Councilmembers Bill Sandke, Whitney Benzian, Mike Donovan and Marvin Heinze; Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for San Diego Supervisor Greg Cox, Luis Monteagudo; former professional NFL linebacker Jim Laslavic and his wife Susan; and San Diego restaurateur, Ken Irvine, for wine, champagne, tray-passed appetizers and small bites. Bonnie Foster Productions set the mood to dance and mingle with covers ranging from Frank Sinatra to Bruno Mars.

Fresh bruschetta; scampi alla griglia, pancetta-wrapped jumbo scampi in a lemon and paprika reduction; portobello alla bianca; portobella mushroom-filled ravioli and sun-dried tomato in dill cream sauce; assorted Italian cheeses and cured meats; and limoncello were among the signature dishes guests enjoyed during the event.

Mayor Bailey, along with the complete Coronado City Council, presented Denise and Jeannette Stavros with a proclamation declaring the day “Primavera Ristorante Day” throughout the city of Coronado; while Mr. Monteagudo presented the restaurant a proclamation on behalf of Supervisor Greg Cox, declaring the day “Primavera Ristorante Day” throughout San Diego County.
