Coronado Police Searching for Burglary Suspect, Updated: Subject in Custody

CPD UPDATE Sept. 22, 2019, 5:40am – Subject in Custody

Coronado PD with the assistance of SDPD K-9 units took Nicklas Paul Jorgensen, 09/27/78, of Lemon Grove, into custody at a motel in Pt. Loma earlier this morning. On Saturday, Jorgensen stole the police department’s remotely monitored bicycle, then a few hours later he broke into a home in the 400 block of Adella Lane as the residents slept.

Jorgensen was booked into jail for the hot prowl burglary. Additional charges are pending as the investigation is ongoing.


Coronado Police were actively searching for a burglary suspect Saturday morning.

12:42pm – We are asking the public’s help in locating a burglary suspect last seen in the area of the 400 block of Adella Lane. He is a white male adult, shaved  head, wearing jeans and a grey and black shirt. Please call us if you have any information regarding this subject. Photo included.

11:21am – We are still searching the area near 400 Adella Lane looking for a suspect wanted for several property crimes.  The suspect was last seen by a resident changing clothes he stole from a nearby home. The suspect is being described as a white male adult, shaved head, last seen wearing jeans and a gray & black collared shirt. Law enforcement is expected to be in the area for the next 30 -45 minutes. Please call 911 if you see this person.
