Combat Injured Recognition Weekend: SGT Hector Perez

Retired Sgt Hector D. Perez, Infantry Marine from El Segundo, California.

  • Joined out of Los Angeles and attended boot camp at MCRD San Diego, SOI-West fox company Camp Pendleton.

  • Was with 3/4 Kilo and 3rd LAR BN.

  • Served four times in Iraq and two times in Afghanistan.

  • Was given the purple heart on March 31, 2011 after being wounded in Afghanistan.

  • Currently living in Oceanside with wife of five years, Breanna, and four year old daughter Elena.
