Community Voices: The “Plastification” of Coronado

Let’s stop using fake grass. The idea to cover the earth with plastic is wrong and it still has to be washed. Instead, to save water, let’s go back to desert plants.

I propose that we take this into consideration on the garden prices – plastic is not plants – the earth needs to breathe. It is bad enough to have horrible plastic grass in the schools where our kids burn their legs on hot days.
