Community Voices: Don’t Harass Cyclists

To The Man who drove beside me shouting “Want a tow?!” several times as I cycled up 5th Street toward A Avenue: Do not harass me again. Driving beside a cyclist and demanding her attention because you are bored, old and/or horny is not only a threatening behavior, it is dangerous for both the cyclist and yourself. I won’t go so far as to call your behavior sexual harassment because the likelihood that you are capable of sex is quite low considering your age and mental handicap – but if you want to “go there,” I am prepared to press charges should you pull that stunt again.
