Coronado Home Harvest, Coronado’s monthly free homegrown fruit, vegetable, and flower exchange, is holding a pot luck lunch at the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library this Saturday, January 22, at noon. Many people who do not have gardens or who have a meager harvest during a certain month have brought delicious homemade food items to the exchange, and we know there are wonderful cooks in our midst. In the spirit of sharing and eating together, the public is welcome to come with a dish that will feed at least six. Come hear about this great new Coronado tradition. The exchange resumes next month on February 19, with drop off time in front of the Winn Room at 9 am. The pick up time and program will be at 11 am. The program will be “Cooking from your Garden” by Wendy McGuire, owner of Ganosh Gourmet, who will also have a cooking demo, hand out recipes, and have reference materials on hand.
