FILM FORUM CORONADO: “Saboteur”

Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 pm in the library’s Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

August 24: Saboteur (1942, 108 min)

Alfred Hitchcock’s slyly satirical musings on patriotism and paranoia. A beleaguered defense plant worker (Robert Cummings) is ensnared in a wartime espionage plot that carries him on a coast-to-coast trek from the California desert to the Statue of Liberty.
