We provide the ingredients, you'll create something delicious using the Super Bowl as your inspiration! Working in teams, you'll choose either the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, or Miami as your inspiration for a Superbowl snack! Our judges will award points on presentation and how well you represented your inspirational choice.

Introduction to Microsoft Word Workshop

This workshop will help you learn how to create documents and do simple editing in Microsoft Word. Topics will cover changing fonts, formatting paragraphs, and understanding some of the different features found on Microsoft Word. Whether you are new to figuring out Word or you need a refresher, all are welcome to attend this workshop at the Library. Sign-up required, please call the Library to sign-up.  Laptops will be provided.

Joe Nyiri, award winning artist teaches an art class on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Ruby Room. He enjoys giving children the freedom to create with a variety of mediums. Stop by to learn something new! All ages are welcome to Joe Nyiri’s art class. This month we will explore the art form of cartooning. This class is free thanks to the Friends of the Coronado Public Library.

Tinker Tuesday: Lava Lamp Science

Kids, learn about density, polarity, and chemical reactions while making a homemade mesmerizing lava lamp. These kid friendly lava laps are made up of oil, water, and food coloring. The oil floats on top of the water because it is less dense, or lighter, than water. The food coloring has the same density as the water so it sinks through the oil and mixes with the water.

The San Diego Shakespeare Society holds their monthly reading in the Winn Room on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. We'll be reading Hamlet, Part II. You can bring your own text, borrow one from the Library or bring the text up on your phone. Shakespeare was meant to be read aloud--join us to participate or just listen.
