PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet the Emerald-Eyed Smokey

Smokey is a female Grey/white DSH, approximately 14 years in age. One can’t help but notice her beautiful eyes. They are the most vivid green: striking and full of allure. Her coat is silky soft. She’ll brush up against you as if to say,”I take extra time to look my best”. She’s a big love to her human friends and will actively seek you out for companionship. She has the tendency to want to be the alpha female, so may need time to warm up to other felines. She’s ready and willing to be your best friend. All you have to do is come and meet her.

You can get to know Smokey and other furry friends needing homes at the Coronado Animal Care Facility.

Visit the Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) located on 1395 First Street, next to the Ferry Landing.

Hours of operation are 9am – 4pm, EVERY DAY but major holidays.

All cats and dogs will have had their spay/neuter, current immunizations and microchip upon adoption.

Find out more information about each Animal on our website, www.PAWSofCoronado.org

You can find a complete list of adoptable animals on our websites, pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com.

We desperately need help in finding foster families. From time to time, we get animals that don’t do well in the shelter environment and are best served in a home environment while awaiting adoption. Please inquire on our website about possible volunteer opportunities. It may prove to be the most rewarding experience of your life.
