Lacrosse: CHS Girls Win Big Against Carlsbad and Lose to LJ

This past week, Coronado’s Girls’ Lacrosse team played twice, the first against La Jolla High School. Playing them for the first time this season, the team didn’t know what to expect, and it turned out to be a challenging game. With Brynn Umansky’s three goals and Natalie Wilson’s four goals, Coronado was able to score seven goals to La Jolla’s 15.

On Thursday, Coronado faced Carlsbad High School on the Islanders’ home field. Makena Armstrong was one of the team’s top performers with four goals, two assists, and seven draw possessions, while Umansky led the team with five total goals. On the defensive, Kendall Chapko had an 89% save percentage in the goal. The final score in Coronado’s win against Carlsbad was a whopping 14-1.

Their current season record is currently 7 wins to 6 losses.
