Last night, our wonderful City Council moved one step closer to having the new facility at 7th and D Avenue. After almost 4 years of work and study, the project is moving forward and will serve to round out the incredible planning and development that has made our little City so great for us to enjoy. Thank you to Mayor Casey Tanaka for his outstanding leadership and to Council Members who helped restore our faith in Democracy. Thank you also to City Manager, Blair King for his leadership and to Linda Rahn whose unwavering perseverance led to this outcome (Happy Retirement, Linda). City staff counted 99 people attending to support this outcome. Lastly, many thanks to Francette Roeder, who rejuvenated the discussion 4 years ago and again pointed out the desperate need for this facility. We are all so lucky to live in Coronado!
