ALL Coronado Residents: Lock Doors & Windows Even When Home

CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS POST:

After speaking with the Coronado Police Department it is clear ALL Coronado residents should be on high alert due to criminal activity on the island. A serial burglar is targeting all of the Coronado Village area with several attacks on Balboa as well as A Avenue, San Luis Rey, H Ave, Margarita, and Country Club Lane.

All recent attacks in which the burglar has taken silver and/or ID’s and credit cards from the home ARE RELATED. The police department is not positive when the attacks are happening because there is a delay between when the victims notice their items are stolen and when the burglar actually took the items. Therefore, the serial burglar could be entering day or night.

Also, since there have been NO signs of forced entry in any of the attacks, the Coronado Police Department is stating that all residents should keep doors and windows locked at all times, even while you are home.

PREVIOUS POST:

Coronado’s Country Club Residents are on high alert after discovering another home burglarized in their neighborhood.

After a meeting with the Coronado Police Department last week, residents were told a serial burglar is believed to be entering the homes and targeting silver. In the most recent attack the burglar took wallets, cash and credit cards from the home. The burglary can not be positively connected to the previous attacks since the residents did not have silverware to steal.

All residents are encouraged to pay attention to who is in their neighborhood. All burglaries have shown no forced entry.
