Coronado Blood Drive Today: 11am-5pm

The City of Coronado is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive Thursday, September 1, and is inviting employees, residents and those in the business community to donate.

The American Red Cross “City Blood Challenge” will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Coronado Community Center Nautilus Room, 1845 Strand Way.

The blood drive challenges cities in Southern California, from August 1 through September 6, to encourage their employees and residents to give. The City of La Mesa is holding a drive Tuesday, September 6.
So far, 31 people have pre-registered for Coronado’s event.

To register, visit redcrossblood.org and enter the code “City BD.” Walk ups also are welcome, and O Negative blood, the universal blood type, is needed.
