The 2011 Miss Coronado Pageant will celebrate this year with a new addition
the 2011 Miss Teen Coronado title. The two pageants will be held Sunday May 22, 2011 at 3pm at the Coronado Playhouse. Our current queen, Kelsey Fitzgerald will be giving up her crown to one of the young women vying for the title of Miss Coronado 2011. We are looking for contestants for both pageants; young women between the ages of 13 and 17 for the Teen title and 17 (must be a Senior in high school) to 26 for the Miss title. During the course of the pageant, both Miss and Teen contestants will be judged in five main categories: a 10-minute panel interview, sportswear competition, evening gown competition, onstage question and overall poise and personality. The two young women chosen to represent our city will participate in many local events including the annual 4th of July and Christmas parades, local charity functions benefiting the Coronado Hospital and Coronado Schools Foundation, as well as representing our city at events and fundraisers throughout San Diego County.
This year’s pageant will be an exciting event. If you or someone you know would like to enter the pageant, our practices start in May at the Coronado Public Library.
