Tunnel Waste

Personally, think the tunnel project is a waste of time and money. Admit that I am not the expert on such a project, but like the airport concept in South Bay, believe way too much energy is being expended on the topic. Sometimes, someone just needs to stand up and say, “this is not a good use of time”. Time, after all, is the one thing that we never get back and should be valued with more regard. In regards to Mayor Casey’s request on the toll, I would oppose it in relation to the tunnel project for reasons noted above. In relation to a toll in general (to help control traffic on our congested streets), would be open to hearing pro’s/con’s from both sides. If it were implemented, would like to see an Express lane for those that purchase a Fast Track option (like on other toll highways). I don’t think you can limit a Fast Track option to residents of Coronado though – think you need to consider the financial benefits that we receive from people who visit the lovely place in which we live.
