“We adopted her out of a field behind our grocery store. People were putting out food and gallons of water and were going to find her a non kill shelter but by that time we had already found her. She rescued us.”
“I rode here all the way from Tijuana- I like the view, the wind.”
“They wanted to skateboard. We live right down the street. We decided to skateboard along the bay and we found the Marriott tent, which I’m sure the Marriott wonders what we are doing under here!”
“Even though I waited so long to become a Dad, you think that you would know more or be more ready but it’s not the case. I still know nothing about having a baby. I have to learn as I go.”
Alyssa graduated from Coronado High School, earned her BA in Communication from CSU East Bay, and then her MBA from CSU San Marcos, then fused all three together to write about businesses in her hometown of Coronado. When she's not interviewing business owners, she's running her own business, Burns Books, where she publishes her YA novels. You can find her books here. Alyssa loves walking around the Ferry Landing with her husband and two daughters and enjoys an iced mocha from one of Coronado's coffee shops.Have a story for The Coronado Times to cover?
