Vote no on 50.
It is imperative that all voters acquaint themselves with the November 4, 2025 Special Election and vote NO on Prop 50.
California voters elected to have State redistricting done by the Citizens Redistricting Commission composed of five Democrats, five Republicans and four members with No Party Affiliation.
Gov. Gavin Newsom intending to thwart the will of 40% of California voters went ahead and forced an unnecessary, approximately $280 million costly special election to quash the Citizens Redistricting Commission. Is this Democracy in action?
A $4 million mistake in redrawing the District maps was made by the Legislature Democrats who re-drew the District lines. Tax payers will bear the costly blunder by Newsom and his minions which will require 8 1/2 million new voter guides to be mailed.
If Prop 50 passes, CA voters would no longer have a say in redistricting. Politicians, in closed door, secret sessions would be making self-serving gerrymandering deals, redrawing districts to eliminate conservative legislators in State Legislature and in the House of Representatives. Is this Democracy in action?
The Democratic controlled California Legislature and Gov. Newsom drastically cut funding to public school education in 2025. They instead chose to spend multi-million dollars on ramming thru Proposition 50. Those funds could have hired and kept working 4,800 teachers. Are they really concerned with the children?
Please vote NO on 50.

Vote No on 50, it will destroy democracy in California by taking redistricting away from an impartial citizens board and giving more power to politicians. We voted for the citizens board in the 80’s and now Gavin Newsom wants to erase the people’s decision. He is not a good choice for a free people.

I hope your spelling skills are not used to support the commenter’s point of the folly of draining education funds for all children in order to unnaturally stop the democratic and lawful process of the voter installed redistricting action trying to correct past “errors” by the party in power. There is already a democratic process in every state to ensure that eligible voters are represented properly in our Constitutional Republic. The “errors” have been discovered and need correction in order to bolster voter confidence that democratic processes are not usurped by those who disagree with current laws and Constitutional processes. No president is a “threat” to any State’s redistricting battles. It’s up to each Californian to vote and get involved with their State Legislature reps if they are unhappy.
It is Gavin Newsom who is threatening a voter designed democratic process.
Sadly, in this people don’t read. They just watch TV and vote on what the ad says. This is why we now have to pay for trash pickup in certain areas in San Diego. The booklet clearly stated that this this money would come from additional charges for trash pickup. But no one read the book and they voted for the money. In this case, since it’s Anti-Trump, they will vote on it, completely disregarding what they voted for in the past.
TDS is allegedly going to be added to the DSM6.
It takes a chunk of time to go to original and “first source” references to discover important details instead of letting ANYONE translate an issue for you while often ignoring important context. For example, one really needs to read the brief and opinions on rulings versus accepting any chattering tv/Web head on “who won.” The dumbing down of messaging into curses and hyperbole is destructive.
The irony of your first versus last sentences in this posts. “TDS” is not a real thing and is not going to be added to the DSM-6, which hasn’t even started development and is currently in the earliest planning phase. The DSM-5 took 13 years to be completed from that point and has a relatively recent revision.
Hopefully the ill informed will see this,& understand, it’s nothing more than a power grab by Gavin Newsom.
It’s nothing to do with democracy, in fact it’s absolutely going against the will of the people, who voted for the independent panel in 2008!

I took political science in school and I was going to be a candidate but I decided against it and decided to raise my family instead honestly so,

Great comment. Everyone, watch your 6 for power hungry users of every stripe who believe the ends justify the means. Attend your local city council meetings, school board meetings etc. as the power gathering begins there. Don’t skip any chance to vote and it is your DUTY to get informed.
