WE NEED A SECOND AMBULANCE IN CORONADO! This afternoon (MAY 18, 2009) there was an emergency at Central Beach. The Coronado Fire Department arrived, I did not know when the emergency call was placed, but it took 25+ minutes after the Fire Department ARRIVED for an AMR ambulance to reach the scene. Apparently the Coronado Paramedics and the ONLY STAFFED ambulance was needed elsewhere.
Mr. MONROE regretted at a Cays forum, that conservative fiscal management would not allow him to be a proponent for a second ambulance, citing some statistics. Our ambulance is used for patient transport from NASNI to Balboa Naval hospital. When you have an emergency during such a transport, Coronado has to call for help from across the bridge. It could mean Life or Death in critical circumstances. PLEASE VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE WHO SUPPORTS A SECOND AMBULANCE!
