Spreckels Park (Corner of 6th and Orange) The feline frenzy of far out rhythms that is the SophistiCats was born of the furrtile imaginations of Dez Presley and Miss Meow. They combed the alleys to find hep-cats Pharaoh on guitar, Johnny Nine Lives on drums, and Bugsy Del Marr on tenor sax to complete the vintage vision. This is a show for all the hip cats and slick kitties who appreciate sharkskin, chrome bumpers, vinyl spinning on the Hi-Fi, Leo Fender, a well-built cocktail, spike heels, & bullet bras. We invite you to our party where the skirts are mini and trousers are skinny. Meow! Come on down to Spreckels Park for the best summer concert series around. Bring family, friends and food as you enjoy a wonderful night of music in the heart of Coronado. Adults and kids alike will dance, laugh, break bread and most of all listen to great music in one of our favorite parks on the island. Get a good spot for your blanket, chairs or wagon and arrive 15-30 minutes before the start time.
