One of the things I love most about living on Coronado is the varying styles or architecture you encounter. Scatted along avenues and streets, you’ll find mission style, spanish style, beach bungalow, historic residences … and more! Visitors to the island (really peninsula) are charmed to ride bikes by the “baby del” or see the “wizard of oz house,” as much as I am to show it to them! Historic homes dotted along our streets are so unique to Coronado. In my opinion, if you want to level a house to build a new McMansion, or mini-mansion move the suburbs.
The debate ensues in this weekend’s San Diego Union-Tribune Real Estate section – see”Historic home presevation could come at a price” and weigh in with your opinion.
