During Coronado’s annual 4th of July Weekend celebration, more than 2,000 runners will hit the pavement at the 48th annual Crown City Classic on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Participants will enjoy the pageantry and patriotism of 4th of July, experience scenic views of Coronado’s beautiful landmarks and spectators cheering along the route.

One of San Diego’s longest running Independence Day traditions, race day features a variety of distances from 12k to 5k, as well as a half-mile Kids Race for children age 10 and under. All race courses start and finish at Tidelands Park with views of San Diego’s downtown skyline, golf course and Coronado Bridge, running along portions of the parade route and finishing along the picturesque waterfront.

The event will be San Diego’s first race back in over 16 months. The finish line festival will feature live music and awards for the top finishers. Islander Sports Foundation is the benefiting charity, and more than $25,000 has been fundraised annually to support local Coronado athletics programs through the event.

Registration is open at CrownCityRun.com.
