CSF Telethon: New Game Show Theme & Family Fun Fair

This year’s Coronado Schools Foundation Telethon should raise record funds on March 14th with the new, exciting and fun Game Show Theme and Family Fun Fair.

Want to join the fun!?! This year’s 31st annual Coronado Schools Foundation Telethon will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 5-9 pm to raise much-needed funds for 2019-20 Coronado Unified School District School Site Program Grants.

A new Game Show theme with scripts written and performed by students, performances by Village Elementary Band, Silver Strand kinders, CoSA dance & musical theater drama conservatory, winners of Coronado’s Talent 2019, and the ever-popular CMS teachers dance extravaganza are sure to entertain audience members.

The “Family Fun Fair” in the CHS Quad, brought to you by Coronado Smiles Dental, opens at 4:30 pm. New this year, Quad Chair Bridget Carlson and CSF Staff have lowered the price of a wristband for unlimited activities to just $15 (2 for $25, 3 for $30) including an inflatable obstacle course, DJ and karaoke, face painting, Mullins Orthodontics photo booth, Martial Arts America Board Breaking, CHS Engineering, CMS Robotics, and carnival games for families to enjoy!

Underwriting partner, Blue Bridge Hospitality (BBH), will once again be proving food court entrees for this year’s event. Guests can enjoy tacos from El Roy’s, pizza and salad from Village Pizzeria, and coffee with a portion of all proceeds going to Coronado’s schools via CSF.

BBH will also reward the school with the most Telethon participation with a Village Pizza Party and second place with a Mootime ice cream party! All Blue Bridge Hospitality restaurants are participants in the Coronado Local’s Card featuring 15% off all food purchases (STAKE has a unique perk). Thank you to David & Jenni Spatafore and the BBH team for being longtime supporters of Coronado schools!

Wristbands and food are available for pre-order NOW at csfkids.org/quad-preorder, or look for the CSF Telethon donation and ticket form in your student’s Monday folder.

With Coronado Unified funded 36th of 42 school districts in San Diego County, donations made during the Telethon fund STEAM opportunities for Coronado public school students that would otherwise not be possible. “CSF returned a record $1,000,000 to the schools for this year. Only 20% of our parents have made a donation this school year. We need that to increase to 50% to maintain this record funding. EVERY donation matters, whether $25 or $2,500,” commented Patty Cowan, President & CEO.

Performances and phone bank begin at 5 pm at the Coronado High School Theater. Donate $365 or more for a chance to win a Holland’s bicycle or $500 or more to win an Emerald City surfboard! All winners will be drawn at the Telethon.

Viewers can also watch LIVE from home on Coronado TV channel 19 (Spectrum), channel 99 (AT&T), and streaming at csfkids.org and the CSF Facebook page. Thank you once again to Mullins Orthodontics for joining CSF as Producing Partner of this annual event!

The event is made possible by generous business partner including Presenting Partner Mullins Orthodontics; Hour Partners –  Hotel del Coronado, Willis Allen Real Estate, Buona Forchetta, and Alan Kinzel, Realtor; Quad Partner – Coronado Smiles Dental; returning Underwriting Partners –  la mer, CMG Mortgage, Spiro’s Greek Cafe, Nicolls Design-Build, The Coronado Times, Blue Bridge Hospitality, and Clayton’s Coffee Shop; and a warm welcome to Navy Federal Credit Union, celebrating their new branch office 106 B Avenue.
