The first Tuesday of August, each year, is nationally recognized as National Night Out.
“National Night Out” is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime efforts and send a message to criminals letting them know our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime. To celebrate National Night Out, on Tuesday August 2nd, from 7 pm to 10 pm, the Coronado Police Department is asking residents to turn on porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors getting to know each other. CPD will be out and about all evening so give them a wave or shout out if you see them. “Together, we can help make Coronado crime free.”
