Parent Engagement Series: The Building Blocks of Resiliency

The intention of the presentation will be to have parents and caregivers have the answers to the following questions:

• What is resilience?
• How can parents better support children, and themselves, becoming more resilient?
• Why, especially in this day and age, is building resilience important?

Our speaker for this presentation is Dr. Katherine Williams, a psychologist at Rady Children’s Hospital. As a child and adolescent psychologist at a large children’s hospital and top-ranked large public university, Dr. Williams has created a pediatric child and adolescent anxiety and OCD clinic, developed an autism assessment program across five sites, and co-authored a nationally-lauded treatment book, The Building Blocks of Resiliency. In partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital and Coronado Unified School District.
