16th Annual Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

Coronado will come alive with color, costumes, and community spirit on Sunday, February 15 when the Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Run returns for another Valentine’s Day Weekend celebration. Known for its fun-loving atmosphere and scenic coastal setting, this event welcomes individual runners, couples, friends, families, adults, and kids.

The event features three distance options designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone:

• 10K for runners chasing a strong effort or a personal best
• 5K for runners and walkers of all paces
• 1-Mile Run, perfect for kids, families, first-time racers, and anyone wanting a shorter, joyful experience

The race begins at Tidelands Park and stays entirely on Coronado, offering participants beautiful views of San Diego Bay and a fast, flat course that’s ideal for both competitive runners and casual participants.

All participants receive a high-quality long-sleeve tech race shirt featuring matching heart designs. The event also includes a lively race-day atmosphere with music, festive costumes, finisher medals, age-group awards, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

As an optional feature, the event also offers FREE wedding vow renewals at the start line. Couples who choose to participate can reaffirm their commitment during a non-denominational ceremony just before the race begins. This joyful and lighthearted tradition adds an extra touch of romance to the morning for those who want it, while remaining completely optional for the many participants who are simply there to run, walk, and celebrate the weekend.
