MooTime Creamery’s 17th birthday was a HUGE hit! To thank the community for their 17 years of support, MooTime held a “Crown Jewel” ice cream eating contest that 10 non-profits participated in for the chance to win $517 for 1st place, $217 for 2nd place, and $117 for 3rd place. With teams participating and the huge crowd of supporting fans, the contest was filled with community, excitement, and celebration. After an intense several minutes of chowing down on this oversized sundae, the LinderKids took 1st place, Silver Strand Elementary took 2nd place, and the Rotary Club of Coronado took 3rd. The other amazing non-profits that participated were the Coronado Schools Foundation, Navy Old Goats, ALS of San Diego, FOCUS, Coronado Aquatics Club, Coronado Historical Association, and Coronado Junior Woman’s Club.
From the 17 cent scoops offered to the spirited ice cream contest, the love and support for MooTime was felt. This event will now be an annual tradition with the prize values increasing every year! Be sure to keep an eye out for sign ups for next year’s competition when MooTime turns 18!
MooTime Creamery opened in 1998 with the goal to provide the best hand-crafted ice cream available in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere. There are currently two locations where you can visit MooTime Creamery, 1015 Orange Avenue and the Hotel Del Coronado.
