Last school year, Kris McClung announced that she would be resigning as Coronado School of the Arts’ (CoSA) director. This year, CoSA came under the direction of Kate McKnight. Kate McKnight was formerly the Visual/Performing Arts Coordinator at Fresno Unified School District. She was going into her eighth year at this job before taking up the reins at CoSA.
Kate went on to tell eCoronado.com that a key role she can play as director is connecting CoSA to the rest of the high school and the rest of the community. She also stated that she hopes students don’t feel like CoSA is just a place students drive over the bridge to get to every day (for those students who do that), but who feel like they are connected to the community.
Here’s the video interview with Kate McKnight filmed on November 2nd.
