Keep the Crown City Marvelous

We need to continue the responsible, rationale leadership that has made Coronado special.  I am running for Coronado City Council to continue providing a “voice of reason” when our new City Council faces difficult decisions. To continue to strengthen our community and address issues in a calm, thoughtful manner, I am ready to listen to all sides and reach reasonable decisions to help us keep Coronado special.

I currently am focused on three areas:

Public Safety.  An experienced leader in crisis response, I want to ensure that we continue to improve our community security posture (police, fire and emergency planning/response) and each citizen understands and has a voice in our emergency management planning.

Community Quality of Life.  My degrees in Architecture and Mechanical Engineering prepare me to effectively contribute to issues such as appropriate construction and zoning standards (RSIP), traffic mitigation planning (pedestrian, bicyclists and motorists), and to work with the Coronado Tourism Improvement District to ensure we attract appropriate tourism.

Financial Management.  Raised by depression era parents, I have conservative financial attitudes and will zealously protect our city resources.  Having overseen multi-million dollar budgets, I am prepared to help guide our careful investment in infrastructure revitalization to continue our City’s ability to provide top quality services.

I am currently the Vice Chairman of the Coronado Planning Commission, and have served on the Coronado Community Emergency Response Team Board, the Street Tree Committee, and the Coronado Cays Homeowners Association Board.

I am ready to represent you on the City Council.  I look forward to hearing your issues and earning your vote.
