Summary: -12 arrests (all are alcohol related) -1 bike stolen (locked) -2 traffic collisions May 2 -Juvenile contact possession of marijuana less than 28.5 g (400 block of 1st St.) -Burglary where suspect smashed victim’s car window and rifled through her diaper bag then fled the scene undetected. May 5 -Arrest DUI alcohol/misdemeanor .08% (800 block of 10th St.) -Grand theft where suspect stole on wedding ring (worth $10,000) and one Irish clatter ring (worth $250) (Half Moon Bend) May 6 -Arrest DUI alcohol/misdemeanor .08% (500 block of 3rd St.) – Arrest DUI alcohol/misdemeanor .08% (I5 on-ramp from J St, San Diego) -Suspect walked onto patio of apartment complex and stole tile saw that was left on job site (700 block F Ave.) May 7 -Grand theft where victim left property on the beach and went for a walk. When victim returned her purse, wallet, camera and money were missing. May 8 -Disorderly conduct due to alcohol- detention only (700 block E Ave.) -Juvenile contact due to robbery (400 block E Ave.) -Vandalism ($400 or more) vehicle vandalized by smashing rear windshield (1100 1st St.) -Petty theft where suspect was shopping at NEX and removed video game from its case and left store. He was placed under citizen arrest by NEX loss prevention and transported to Coronado Police Department for processing. -Vandalism (less than $400) at the Coronado Community Center with graffiti on wall in front of pool with black marker. May 9 -Arrest disorderly conduct alcohol (1000 block E Ave.) -Petty theft cited and released (McCain Blvd.) May 10 -Drunk put in protective custody (4th and Orange) -Arrest DUI alcohol/misdemeanor .08% (1100 block 4th) *April 30 -Grand theft where suspect phones victim and identifies himself as the grandson of the victim. Believing grandson needs emergency financial help victim wires cash to a Wal Mart in Calgary, Canada.
