On Thursday, June 9th , the Coronado Democratic Club is hosting Angelle Muau
who will address the issue of BIPOC/QTPOC Mental Health and Homelessness
Disparities.
Angelle Muau (they/she/elle) is Assistant to the Director of Communications for
United Domestic Workers of America/AFSCME Local 3930 (UDWA/AFSCME Local
3930) and is a proud parent of a transgender young adult. During their child’s
transition they noticed the need for safer spaces due to disparities in support for
LGBTQIA+ communities of color, especially in the Black/African-American
communities in San Diego County.
The program will be held Winn Room, Coronado Public Library. There is a social
hour from 6:30 to 7 pm and the program will begin at 7 pm. The meeting is free
and open to the public. All attendees must show proof of vaccination and there
are no exceptions.
