Opportunities abound with animal welfare organizations and they go beyond working hands on with animals. Every volunteer task is important and helps an animal welfare organization save the lives of homeless animals.
At PAWS of Coronado we get a lot of volunteer applications for dog walkers and cat petters and that’s great! But sometimes we need people to volunteer other talents to help our organization fulfill its mission.
PAWS of Coronado partners with the City of Coronado to function as advocates for the animals residing in the Animal Care Facility and to facilitate the adoption of these animals into foster and permanent homes thus ensuring their long term safety and well being.
At this time, PAWS of Coronado is looking for some computer savvy people to help grow their online presence.
The website is already up and running and now requires the upkeep of the adoptable cats and dogs, the featured pet of the week, current events, promoting campaigns, making and/or overseeing blog posts and general maintenance.
These volunteer tasks can easily be divided among a number of people. The primary skill required of any volunteers for these tasks is a working knowledge of WordPress. However, if you have good computer skills, we are willing to coach you in using the WordPress platform.
We are also looking for a volunteer comfortable using c-Panel to maintain the website. The time commitment for this role is limited as the need to access c-Panel is infrequent.
