One of the wonderful things I love about Coronado is how closely-knit our community is. There is a spirit of involvement and care that I’ve never seen before in a city, and we’re fortunate to have some extraordinary people who are committed to keeping Coronado special.

One of those is Marvin Heinze, who I got to know through my involvement in the Rotary Club. His wife Jill, a fellow Rotarian, introduced us, and as I got to know him better, the more impressed I became.

A retired Navy Captain with 28 years of service, Marvin was also the Chairman of the Coronado Planning Commission, which makes him uniquely qualified to understand and address both the needs of our community and our largest neighbor, the Navy.

When I learned of Marvin’s candidacy for city council, I volunteered to be his campaign Treasurer and a member of his campaign advisory committee. Seeing the campaign process from the inside opened my eyes to the enormous amount of planning, dedication, and effort he undertakes every day, and it has strengthened further my conviction that Marvin will be a thoughtful, thorough, and tireless advocate to helping keep our community special.

Please join me in electing Marvin to the City Council.
