New CHS Head Football Coach

Kurt Hines CHS Football CoachIt is with great pleasure that Coronado High School introduces new Head Football coach Kurt Hines. Coach Hines comes to us after being an assistant at Christian High School here in San Diego for two years. Prior to that he lead the Bedford High School Bulldogs Football program in New Hampshire for many seasons.

Highlights of his career in NH:

  • 2012 Runner-Ups DII State Championships
  • 2011 Runner-Ups DIII State Championships
  • 2013 his team went 11-1 moving up to DI

Coach Hines graduated from Plymouth State College with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Art and is in his 22nd year of teaching at the elementary level. While attending PSC he also played football as a tight end and different positions on special teams.

In the off-season Coach Hines works as a personal trainer and has run football training camps providing specific instruction for players in grades 7-12.

Coach Hines and his wife Jillian have four children and moved to California to be closer to their two grandchildren.
