Sewage Spills Closing Local Beaches – Take Action Meeting (3/2 at 5:30pm)

TAKE ACTION FOR CLEAN BEACHES, THURS, 3/2, 5:30pm.

Please join us at the Tijuana Estuary Visitor’s Center at 5:30pm on Thursday March 2nd, to take action for Clean Beaches. Imperial Beach will be working with Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter and WILDCOAST and IB Council members to write letters to federal officials demanding that we make cleaning up our border beaches a priority and to demand a federal investigation into the recent spill. Remember that outrage without action won’t help us get clean beaches. – Imperial Beach Mayor, Serge Dedina

An estimated 143 million gallons of raw sewage dumped into the Pacific Ocean causing beach closures.
