I have known Julie Russell for the last couple of years as we are neighbors, fellow parishioners at Sacred Heart Church, and parents of students in the Coronado Schools.  Having worked with Julie on a number of issues in our community, I was very pleased to learn that she is running for a seat on the School Board.

I first met Julie a couple of years ago when she was going door-to-door on our street to generate interest in an issue that was going to impact the neighborhood. Her engaging style and commitment drew me in.  Over the next year, I watched Julie work with other community members to build a coalition to address the issue.  During this engagement, I was very impressed with Julie’s leadership, dedication, strong sense of community, and absolute competence.

We live in a wonderful community where we are fortunate to have dedicated people like Julie Russell who are willing to serve on our school board.  I am happy to endorse Julie Russell for the Coronado Unified School District Board and look forward voting for her on election day.

Sincerely,
Jim Wink
