Coronado Police Blotter: May 31 – June 7, 2009

Summaries: -4 traffic collisions -No reports of stolen bikes included in CPD records this week, but rumor has it that there has been over 100 bikes stolen this week. This was a lighter crime week. Arrests: * May 31- DUI alcohol drugs (detention only) 16 year old male. .08% with zero tolerance for underage drinking. Suspect was involved in a traffic collision, ran from the scene and then was detained for a DUI.(Catspaw Cape) * June 1- Possession of narcotic controlled substance. Possession of marijuana less than 28.5g. Minor possession of alcohol age 20 (300 Glorietta Blvd.) * June 1- Battery on spouse/cohabitant. Misdemeanor with serious injury (felony). Willful cruelty to child. Started with a physical argument over a cell phone. (400 block A Ave.) * June 7- DUI alcohol/drugs. 24 year old female. (400 Orange Ave. Valero gas station) Crime: * May 27- Fraudulent use of credit card. The victim allowed the suspect to use her American Express card once for Google ad words for $501. Suspect continued to use credit card and charged $4193 without permission. * May 31- Battery on person a Little Club Bar. White male suspect hit victim multiple times and fled the scene. Victim went to hospital. * June 1- Petty theft at Coronado Middle School where suspect vandalized student’s bike and stole his helmet. * June 2- Petty theft from library where suspect stole 4 DVD’s total loss of $56 and left the scene undetected. * June 2- Burglary where 43 year old female enter’s victim residence without permission and is taken into custody after police were notified (700 block of G Ave.) * June 4- Malicious mischief/vandalism. Suspect spray painted graffiti on interior wall of Silver Strand elementary school. * June 6- Petty theft at Avenue Liquor where suspect took bottle of Vodka off the shelf, ran out the door and got into the vehicle which fled the scene.
