Coronado is blessed with good leadership and stewardship of tax dollars. We have a surplus and the overall condition of the city across financial, infrastructure, security and safety appear to be in good shape. I admire the City’s staff and the leadership of Blair King. The elected officials I will vote for must be focused intensely on traffic calming, pedestrian and bicycle safety and steps to enhance the village and residential atmosphere I believe the majority of residents desire. Work is being done in these areas. I applaud that, but strongly urge existing and future Council members to accelerate actions that quickly implement the F&P study results and other initiatives that accomplish the goals I’ve addressed above.
