Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6pm in the library’s Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

Francois Truffaut celebrates the chaos and creativity  of moviemaking in his irreverent love letter to the cinema. Truffaut stars as a seasoned director of a tawdry melodrama who must navigate  the off-screen dramas that swirl around him – an impetuous leading man (Jean-Pierre Leandro), a fading diva (Valentina Cortese) and a troubled starlet (Jacqueline Bisset). French with English subtitles.
