Cops and Robbers: Impersonation of Banker Results in $3,600 Loss (12/23/18-1/3/19)

Thanks to the Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

Crimes:

1/1/19: Battery On a Spouse/Cohabitant near 200 block of G Avenue

After responding to a disturbance call, the Coronado Police Department determined that the subjects were involved in a domestic violence incident. Subjects were separated for the evening.

12/27/18: Petty Theft near 900 block of D Avenue

Unknown suspect stole a record player from a U-Haul moving truck that was in transit from Atlanta, Georgia to Coronado, California. The record player was valued at $600.

12/24/18-12/25/18: Impersonation to Attain Money (Felony) near 1100 block of G Avenue

Unknown suspect contacted the victim identifying themselves as a representative from Navy Federal Credit Union. During the conversation, the victim provided the caller with access codes to his accounts. The following day, when the victim contacted his credit union, he discovered that there were several withdrawals from his account, amounting to a loss of $3,606.

12/24/18: Vandalism near 2000 block of Mullinix Drive

Graffiti was found on city property, damage of which is estimated to be less than $400. There are no known suspects or witnesses.

12/23/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 1100 block of First Street

Unknown suspect stole a Trek bicycle from a secured community parking garage at the location. The value of the bicycle is $4,619.38.

12/31/18: Possession of Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor near 600 block of Orange Avenue

37 year old male

12/31/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 500 block of Palm Avenue

18 year old male

12/24/18: Battery On a Spouse/Cohabitant – Misdemeanor near 100 block of Kingston W Court

45 year old male

12/23/18: Possession of Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor near 1000 block of Park Place

37 year old male

12/23/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 300 block of A Avenue
