Three seats on the five-member Coronado Unified School District Board of Education will be up for election in the November 6, 2018 election. The three incumbent board members whose terms expire: Lee Pontes, Lou Smith, and Esther Valdes, are all eligible to run for another term. Employees of the District who are residents are permitted to apply but may not continue employment with the District if elected.

All candidates must file with the San Diego County Registrar of Voters. Information can be found under the Candidate Filing Guide at www.sdvote.com. The candidate filing period will open on July 16, 2018 and close on August 10, 2018.
