Senior Level Girl Scouts Create Video on Carbon Food Print

Three Coronado Senior level Girl Scouts produced a short three minute video as the Take Action portion of their Sow What Journey.

The young women learned all about the Carbon Foot Print of some foods frequently eaten, as well as visited the Farmers’ Market, learned what it means to eat local, and discussed the problems of food insecurity.

Their video centers around explaining what your Carbon Foot Print (and your Carbon Food Print) is regarding the foods you eat and how to reduce it to help the planet. Since the Girl Scouts Take Action Project is supposed to be sustainable, they decided that getting information into the hands of people would fulfill that part of their project. They wrote the script, recorded it, and edited it.
