Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan for NASNI Community Meeting (June 26)

At this June meeting, the Airport Authority will present the Naval Air Station North Island DRAFT ALUCP overview.

Community Meeting

The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Airport Authority) is preparing the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) for Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI). The ALUCP will play an important role in ensuring that new development and certain changes in existing development in the vicinity of NASNI are compatible with Naval aviation operations and is safe for people on the ground and aircraft in flight.

The Airport Authority, acting as the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC), is responsible for preparing ALUCPs for all 16 airports in San Diego County. The ALUC has responsibility only for future land use development. It has no authority over Naval air operations.

In 2016, the Airport Authority hosted a series of informational community meetings to provide opportunities for public input during the planning process. Each meeting focused on a specific topic. At the June meeting, the Airport Authority will present the Naval Air Station North Island DRAFT ALUCP overview.
