On February 4, football’s final Sunday of the season, you may get a knock at your door asking for non-perishable food items. The recipient of this year’s locally donated food is the Coronado Baptist Church, where Pastor John and his staff will get it to families in need. This program is a nation wide effort called Souper Bowl of Caring.
Souper Bowl of Caring is a youth-led service movement tied to the big game each winter. Souper Bowl of Caring helps young people across America develop a stronger connection to their communities by caring for their neighbors in need. Join the movement that is transforming the days surrounding this football weekend in the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving. We are reminded at this time, as we enjoy the football game, that we should be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.
