Two Arrested for Burglary at Vons and Rite Aid

Friday afternoon, officers arrested Marcus Johnson and Samiku Dorsey, both of Moreno Valley, for shoplifting from several local businesses. We [CPD] received a call around 2 p.m. after a Rite Aid employee observed the duo stashing the stolen items in an empty baby stroller and a backpack. The pair left the store and drove away in a white sedan. Patrol officers were able to locate the vehicle a few blocks away at 7th Street and D Ave. They found several electric hair cutters/shavers, personal care items, men’s and women’s clothing with security tags, 33 bottles of alcohol and the stroller inside the car. At this point in the investigation, officers believe Vons Grocery and a local clothing store are also victims in this case.

Both suspects are being charged with burglary and conspiracy, and Johnson for violating his parole conditions. The vehicle was towed due to unlicensed driver.
