Coronado Seniors Out and About Program Hits a Milestone!

The Coronado Seniors Out and About program has hit a milestone! The program recently enrolled its 100th rider and is expected to keep growing. 16 volunteer drivers are providing scheduled rides for Coronado seniors 60+ that otherwise have little or no transportation. Coronado Seniors Out and About is always in need of more volunteer drivers. If you have a desire to help other Coronado residents with their transportation needs, becoming a volunteer driver might be your calling!

The rides are provided to medical/ health related offices, grocery stores, banks, social events, fitness activities, barber/beauty shops and more. Rides are provided both locally and into San Diego, up to 25 miles Monday-Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Coronado Seniors Out and About Program is supported by SANDAG as part of the TransNet Senior Mini-Grant Program.
