Coronado Recreation offers an alternate activity for children and adults looking to work out at their amazing rock wall! Located just inside the Coronado Community Center lobby, the rock wall offers a full body workout as you climb up the 30 foot wall or you traverse end to end in the bouldering cave. The rock wall is open to everyone age six and older for climbing; 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays (half price nights), 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays (two climb for the price of one), and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Children looking to learn rock climbing techniques can register for one of three rock climbing classes offered after school on Wednesdays or Fridays. These one hour rock climbing classes teach beginner techniques, rock climbing terminology and proper gear. Each class participants will build strength, balance, and confidence on their way to the top of the wall! New Rock Climbing classes start the week of February 13th so register today at www.coronado.ca.us/recreation. Coronado Recreation invites you to “Put Some Play In Your Day!”
