My Coronado Memory – Epiphany in a Tree

Dan’l Steward memory top vote-getter…SO FAR

Last October, Dan’l Steward, a resident of E Avenue in Coronado, staged a protest by perching in a large eucalyptus tree on his street. This small act of civil disobedience was mounted to save the tree targeted for removal by the City, along with others along his street. At the very least he wanted the City to involve residents of the street in decisions about removal and replacement of the trees. He writes about the epiphany he had while sitting in the tree—an inspiring Coronado memory. And the top vote-getter so far in the My Coronado Memory contest—with 230 votes!
