SHADOWLANDS
Lamb’s Players Theatre has announced the cast and dates for its production of William Nicholson’s award-winning play SHADOWLANDS.
Shadowlands is an engaging look into the later-in-life romance between C.S. Lewis & Joy Davidman. Lewis was a popular Oxford University professor and best-selling author of such works as The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, and The Screwtape Letters. Davidman was a quick-witted, award-winning American poet.

Preview performances are Feb 28-March 2.

The Cast
C.S. Lewis & Joy Davidman are played by real life husband and wife, LAMB’S Producing Artistic Director Robert Smyth, and Associate Artistic Director Deborah Gilmour Smyth.

William Nicholson original wrote SHADOWLANDS in 1985 as a television film for the BBC, featuring Joss Ackland & Claire Bloom as Jack & Joy. It won BAFTA Awards for Best Play and Best Actress. Nicholson then turned it into a stage play, which had successful award-winning runs both in the West End and on Broadway, featuring Nigel Hawthorne as Lewis in both London and New York.
In 1993 the Oscar nominated film directed by Richard Attenborough featured Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger.

Tickets range from $24 to $68 depending on the seating section and day of the week.
Half Price Tickets are available for Youth (ages 5 to 17), Active Duty Military (with ID) and Young Adults ages 18 to 34 who join LAMB’S <35 Club. A $5 Discount is available for Seniors (66+) and Veterans.
